The Russell Residence re-roof had a clear purpose to stop the leaks, fix the cladding issues around the dormers, and bring the home’s appearance into the modern era.
Apex Roof ‘N’ Clad installed a new 5-Rib longrun roof in Flaxpod, with matching Flaxpod spouting and Viking Dec-k-ing membrane in Baltic applied to the dormer areas a cohesive specification that ties the roofline together while addressing the weathertightness problems that had developed around the existing cladding junctions. The warm, earthy tone of Flaxpod gives the home a contemporary feel without jarring against its surroundings.
What made this project physically demanding from the outset was the roof’s 45-degree pitch – steep enough that simply standing and working on the surface requires constant care and the right safety setup. At that gradient, every task takes longer and weather becomes a much bigger factor, with the team needing to manage multiple weather events across the course of the project. Completing a re-roof of this quality on a roof that steep, while also resolving the cladding detail around the dormers, is a strong marker of the skill and experience Apex Roof ‘N’ Clad brings to residential work.
